What if I can’t get three years of driving history?
If you can’t demonstrate at least three years of driving history, you must sign up for the Member or Member Plus plan and complete the Median Program Waiver form instead. This program is designed for drivers who have history driving in another province or country, but obtaining a driving history is difficult.
We check the driving history of all applicants to verify that they meet our eligibility criteria as part of our registration process. If you have a Manitoban driver’s licence with at least three years of driving history, we’ll request that history on your behalf. Drivers with licences from other provinces or territories can usually get their history online.
If you can’t show at least three years of driving history, you must sign up for the Member or Member Plus plan and complete the Median Program Waiver form instead. Attach the completed form to your registration.*
By signing this waiver, you confirm that you meet our eligibility criteria without having to show your history. In exchange, you’ll register at the Member or Member Plus level and pay and additional $500 deposit. You must also agree to our Median Protection Plan Coverage. **

***The Median Protection Plan requires drivers to pay $1 per booking toward damage, with a damage fee up to $1,500 in the event of an at-fault collision, depending on the cost of repair. Peg City Car Co-op reserves the right to modify the terms of the Median Protection Plan to ensure consistency with Peg City Car Co-op’s other Damage Pool and Protection Plan products.
