Collisions (whether you’re at fault or not) can be disorienting and upsetting. We’re here to guide you through what to do when you’ve been in a collision while driving a Peg City car so you can be confident you’ve handled the situation well.

Before You Move the Cars
If you haven’t been injured and the airbags haven’t gone off, snap a photo of the vehicle(s) before moving the cars. This can help MPI determine who’s at fault. Speaking of, please collect any witnesses (they can’t be passengers in either vehicle). Their reports can be enormously helpful in determining who’s at fault.
Once You’ve Moved the Cars
Have the airbags gone off? Is anyone injured? The police may need to be called to assist on the scene.
If it’s a minor collision and police involvement isn’t necessary, collect the following photos:
- the driver’s licences of you and the other driver
- the damage to one or both vehicles or to the property
- vehicle licence plates
Again, collecting the name and phone number of any witnesses (not passengers) helps complete your report.
Call Peg City To Report Your Collision
Once you’ve collected your images and notified the police (only in case of injury and/or airbags going off), call us. We’ll ask for the following information
- location of the accident (street, parking lot, etc.)
- description of the collision (direction travelled, lane occupied, etc.)
- safety of vehicle (no fluids leaking, wheels in alignment)

We’ll Get You On Your Way Post-Collision
If we determine the vehicle is safe to drive, we’ll take your report and let you continue your trip. Should we deem the car unsafe to drive, the Peg City team will arrange a tow and help get you to your destination.
Be sure to email all your photos to Peg City Car Co-op and complete the Incident Report Form inside the glove box of every Peg City vehicle from there.
We’ll report the incident to MPI and process the necessary insurance claims.
