Making bookings on our app just got a whole lot better! Grid search has arrived, and we’re here to walk you through how to use the booking grid. If you haven’t had a chance to download the Peg City Car Co-op App yet, you can find it in the App Store or Google Play Store.
Grid search lets you view the existing availability of your favourite car, truck, or van. This tool is your best friend when your day’s flexible and you’re searching for a few free hours to run errands.

How To Use the Booking Grid
After logging in, search for a round-trip vehicle. Select your ideal start and end time first, then click “Find vehicle.”
A grey pin indicates that a vehicle is unavailable for the requested time. To see when it becomes available, click on that pin. Next, tap “View other availability” to open the reservation grid.
The start and end times you’ve selected are outlined in blue. As you can see from the legend above, the solid green bar indicates the time you’ve requested and can reserve, the white with the green outline indicates the time that’s available (but not yet requested), and the grey points to other reservations during which the vehicle isn’t available to you.
To book the selected vehicle, adjust the start and end time of your booking to fit the availability. Tap the solid green bar. Next, click “Reserve.”
From here, you can also click the arrows above the grid (by Availability near…). This will show you the booking grid for vehicles nearby. Clicking farther right moves you farther from the original car you selected.
Important Limitations
Finally, we want to note two key limitations when it comes to using the booking grid. First, if you’ve selected unique criteria (like a car seat, towing hitch, or an SUV), those criteria won’t stay selected when you search for more cars using the “Availability near…” arrows. Second, the booking grid only works for bookings up to 60 hours or two and a half days long.
If you’re attempting to make a longer booking and are having trouble finding availability on the app, we suggest using the desktop site to make the booking.
