LITE (Local Investment Toward Employment) is Winnipeg’s foundation dedicated to job creation for people that need a hand up into work and out of poverty.
This week, we’ll be deploying a donation car in support of LITE! For every booking made with the LITE Holiday Car until December 31st, Peg City will make a $3 donation to toward LITE’s Christmas Hamper program. The Holiday Car will be rotated through different neighbourhoods during the campaign, and we’ll be sure to let you know where it’s moving next.

“The reality is that there are people struggling to overcome barriers to employment in our inner city. LITE’s Alternative Christmas Hamper program uses the power of “buying local” from businesses and agencies that provide jobs and training to help people overcome these barriers. LITE provides a hamper, but does so in a way that creates opportunity and hopefully lessens the strain on hamper programs in the future.”
