In this orientation, you’ll learn the basics about carsharing with Peg City. 

We recommend that all our members read through the Member Manual for a full understanding of the rules and responsibilities of carsharing. Orientation videos are coming soon!

If you have any problems, call us at 204.793.3912.  We are available by phone from 7:00 am to midnight, seven days a week. Please don’t hesitate to contact us! 

What if the vehicle isn’t there?

Check the app to see if the vehicle is parked somewhere nearby. When a FIX vehicle is within 200 meters of its location, you can find the car’s location in the app. You  can also find any notes we’ve left about the vehicle.  If you’re having trouble finding a FIX car, please consider waiting 5 minutes to see if the vehicle is returned.

For FIX or FLO, once you’ve used the app to verify that your booking is correct (right vehicle location, date, and time), and the vehicle is not where it should be, please call the office, and we will help you out.

Emergency Assistance

All Co-op vehicles are covered by roadside assistance. If you need roadside assistance, call the office, and we will work to get you into another vehicle or get roadside assistance out to you quickly. Co-op vehicles are maintained regularly.

If you require roadside assistance outside of Peg City Car Co-op’s on-call hours, you may call a towing service for assistance. You’ll find more information in any vehicle’s glove box.

What if I forgot something in the car?

If you just finished a booking and the car is still in its spot, just use your fob to access and lock the vehicle. If you don’t start the car, you won’t be charged for the extra time.  If you realise you forgot something after getting home, make a one-hour booking with a FIX vehicle or block out that same FLO car again, forward us the confirmation, and we will zero the charges so long as no driving’s done.

If our spot is taken, try and wait a few minutes if you can. If they’re not coming back, check the station info to see if we provided any tips on where to park. If you park in a legal spot that’s within 200 meters of our spot, no need to call us. Remember to check for any parking restrictions and time limits. Carsharing users are responsible for any fees associated with a mis-parked car. 

Remember that you can end your booking with a FLO car in any legal, non-metered spot in the FLO Zone or at one of the FLO Drop-Off Points downtown.
