ACCESSING AND USING A PEG CITY VEHICLE

In this orientation, you’ll learn the basics about carsharing with Peg City. 

We recommend that all our members read through the Member Manual for a full understanding of the rules and responsibilities of carsharing. Orientation videos are coming soon!

USING THE VEHICLE

Take five before you drive! Report vehicle damage.

  • Check the link in your booking confirmation email for a list of damages,
  • Report anything unlisted and larger than a credit card via the app, email, or phone call before you fob in.
  • If the damage may possibly impact the roadworthiness or safety of the vehicle, please call us! 

In case you forget, instructions on how to report damage can also be found in the car’s glove box!

ACCESSING A PEG CITY VEHICLE

  1. Starting your booking

During a valid booking, you can access the vehicle by passing your key fob over the reader or unlocking the doors with the app. 

  1. Between trips

Once inside the car, grab the vehicle key from the glove box and keep it with you during your trip. Use the key to lock and unlock the doors.

  1. Returning the vehicle

Remember that FIX vehicles must be returned to their home station. 

When you’re ready to end your booking with a FLO car, park in any legal, non-metered parking spot in the FLO Zone or FLO Drop Off Points downtown (parking information can be found in the glove box of all FLO cars or through the app).

For both FIX and FLO:

  • Return the key and cards to the key-card holder in the glove box.
  • Turn off all the lights.
  • Gather your personal belongings, including trash.
  • Use the app or Peg City key fob to secure the vehicle.

Remember: If you use the app to lock the car, you will also end your booking! You continue to be responsible for the legal parking of FLO cars up to 24 hours after your booking ends or until another member reserves the vehicle. Be mindful of rush hour and winter route parking bans.

TIME

After you use the app to block out a FLO car, you have 30 minutes to access the vehicle. Once you access the car, your booking is charged by the minute. The car is yours until you’re ready to end your booking!

With FIX vehicles, the start and end time of your booking is predetermined. You’ll be able to access the vehicle anytime after your booking begins and must have it back in its spot by the time your booking is scheduled to end. Again, we always recommend booking a little more time than you think you’ll need. Adding time on the go is easy with the app! If you can’t add more time, you need to bring the car back for the next person!
